Normal brainwave activity is disturbed when you keep your cellphone next to your bed and this interferes with your sleep. The world will not fall apart if you donât check your texts and messages before bed; it can wait until morning. Your health and sleep are more important. I am not alone in saying this. Dr. Makoto Trotter, ND says, âAnother big problem is using electronic devices before bed, and that throws off the melatonin.â
You should not require medications to fall asleep. Melatonin supplements are a temporal support and should not be used for extended periods of time. Once you have reestablished your sleep cycle you should stop taking supplements.
